Austcorp’s latest A-grade commercial office building, 670 Hunter, will play a significant role in the urban revitalization that is already taking shape in Newcastle.
The project which is due for completion in June 2007 has been pre-leased to the Hunter Area Health Service. They have secured approximately half of the total floor area of the building, leasing the ground floor plus levels 2 and 3. Austcorp believes that the remaining office space on Levels 4 and 5 totaling approximately 4,500 sqm will be especially attractive to prospective tenants due to the building's high energy efficiency rating of 4.5 ABGR (Australian Building Green Rating), the oversized floor plates, the potential for ‘naming rights’ and external signage opportunities also on offer.
In addition to the A-grade office space 670 Hunter will provide two large retail tenancies with wide street frontage to cater to workers in the building and the surrounding offices. These retail tenancies will overlook the newly created 'Town Square' - an open public space which will be designed and landscaped by Austcorp in partnership with Honey Suckle Development Corporation to offer workers in the building and the general public a rest area.
Austcorp's 670 Hunter development is proudly creating a new vibrancy to this end of the Newcastle CBD for all Novocastrians to enjoy!
