New land released at the Gold Coast’s fastest growing suburb has been swooped on by builders and home buyers since its release at the start of January.
Evergreen High, the latest land release at the multi-award winning Coomera Waters, has prompted nearly 300 enquiries to the sales team in January, said Austcorp’s Queensland general manager, Kerry Spencer.
Mr Spencer said he expected strong sales at Coomera Waters in the first quarter of this year, with expressions of interest at Evergreen High already running strongly.
The new release, Mr Spencer said, is the first at Coomera Waters in 18 months.
The Evergreen High precinct is among the best non-waterfront land at Coomera Waters, with premium elevated homesites nestled in quiet parkland surrounds, offering breathtaking views across to the Hinterland and Mount Tamborine.
“People have been waiting for this land for a long time, and the response was as we expected – strong and immediate,” he said.
“Usually the market slows down over Christmas but we’ve had very strong interest on the back of recent sales at Coomera Waters and the opening of the Marina Village last year.”
The generous homesites at Evergreen High, which average more than 900 sqm and range up to 1,400 sqm, are surrounded by more than 20 hectares of nature reserve. The average launch price for a homesite was under $285,000 when sales began.
Highly regarded for its environmental qualities, Coomera Waters has become one of the Gold Coast’s most sought-after communities.
Mr Spencer said Coomera Waters has been a Gold Coast success story from day one, back in 2001.
“Careful planning, superior architecture and going beyond environmental and economic requirements has made Coomera Waters an exemplary project in Australia, if not the world,” he said.
Recent research by Brisbane-based Resolution Research and Marketing showed that Coomera is Australia’s fastest growing suburb, with population growing 24 per cent in the last 12 months, at a rate more than 10 per cent faster than any other area on the Gold Coast.
In recognition of its environmental sensitivity, Coomera Waters was recently awarded the prestigious EnviroDevelopment status by the Urban Development Institute of Australia. It is one of only five developments in Australia to be given the certification based on strict scientific benchmarks for environmental sustainable developments.
Five EnviroDevelopment ‘leaves’ were awarded, symbolising Coomera Waters' achievements in the areas of water, energy, ecosystems, community and waste management.
Coomera Waters residents enjoy a wide range of community services and facilities, with easy access to the M1 Motorway and rail link. Other key community facilities include public and private schools, with future infrastructure to include university and TAFE campuses, library, shopping and entertainment in the planned Coomera town centre.
