Motto and The Village Receive UDIA Award for Urban Renewal

At Austcorp, we believe there are three very important letters in urban reNEWal. NEW. We apply a fresh approach to development by reviving strategically located sites through environmentally superior solutions.

The judges at the 2006 UDIA Awards seem to agree with our philosophy as Austcorp won the UDIA Award for Urban Renewal in both Victoria and New South Wales.

In Victoria, The Village has turned a former timber yard into an urban oasis which will, when completed, comprise architect-designed homes, each featuring the rare 6-star energy rating, in a new master-planned community.

In New South Wales, Motto has revitalised a former industrial site into apartments and townhouses built around integrated public and private open spaces. Natural light, ventilation and environmental initiatives all appealed to the judges.

The Village and Motto are both award-winning urban renewal projects that are creating better futures not only for those who live there, but also for their local communities.

To learn more about both of these developments and Austcorp’s philosophy on sustainable urban developments read Urban magazine April qtr 2007, due out soon.
