Rainpure's Ultra Pure Drinking Water
Helps Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Rainpure

Established in 1990, Rainpure is an Australian water company whose water purification system produces the purest drinking water in the world.

Designed to replicate nature’s process of producing rainwater, Rainpure's patented Cold Vaporisation™ technology takes source water (from the mains or a rainwater tank) into the sterile environment of a vacuum chamber where water evaporates to form an ultra pure vapour, similar to what happens when clouds form at high altitudes. This vapour is then cooled, condensed and aerated to form ultra pure water, ready for drinking.

Cold Vaporisation™ creates water with purity of between one to five parts per million of total dissolved solids (TDS), which is 100 times more pure than the potable drinking water standard issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

So now that we are sure it is good for us how does it reduce our carbon footprint?

Rainpure’s Cold Vaporisation™ process operates within a vacuum at the reduced temperature of 37˚C; this in conjunction with its unique energy recovery system makes Rainpure a highly energy efficient way of delivering ultra pure drinking water.

As Rainpure purifies its water on site, there are less water delivery trucks on the road to pump out CO2 into the atmosphere. Rainpure uses no consumables so there’s no ongoing filter replacements or bottle exchange to worry about; this means less land fills and plastics.

Grey water recycling and rainwater collection systems are also compatible as source water with Rainpure’s purification process, allowing you to extend the use of your environmentally friendly water solutions. Rainpure does its part in reducing your carbon footprint every time you have a drink of water.

New Models – Coming soon in 2008

Rainpure technology is currently offerred through two products; the RM30 water purification system which is best suited for offices; and the RM240 water purification system which is most suited to large ruggedised sites. In early 2008, Rainpure will be expanding its range to catear to the household user, including benchtop systems and integrated wall mounted water purification systems.

Styled by Australia’s leading industrial design house, Rainpure’s Benchtop system will have a small footprint, smart interface with inbuilt water purity monitor and the latest in digital backlit OLED display with soft touch controls. The Benchtop model will be ideal for kitchens and produces up to 10L of hot and cold ultra pure water daily for your personal drinking and cooking needs.

The Building Integrated (wall mounted) system is designed for building integration and is the next advancement in integrated ultra-pure water systems for the home or office. Self contained, fully automatic and designed to supply up to 5 faucets throughout your home, this system can be installed externally or internally to your home or office and is a perfect complement to rainwater tanks and grey water recycling systems.

It is planned that this model will produce up to 40 litres of ultra pure water daily and has an automatic sensor which keeps the storage tank filled. Being driven by Cold Vaporisation™ technology, the system requires almost no maintenance, providing and securing your drinking water supply at all times.

Proposed user features include a digital backlit OLED display with optional remote for monitoring your water usage from the convenience of your kitchen or other rooms within the home.
